It&#8217;s probably my favorite antenna for quick temporary setups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried to make it portable, quick to set-up and easy to change bands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The original design work came from this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/0x9900.com\/building-a-double-bazooka-antenna\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/0x9900.com\/building-a-double-bazooka-antenna\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>, I&#8217;ve refined the design by building a nice center junction box which gives me the ability to change the dipole elements quickly to change the band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text is-stacked-on-mobile\" style=\"grid-template-columns:60% auto\"><figure class=\"wp-block-media-text__media\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"527\" height=\"476\" src=\"https:\/\/willwoodman.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/BazookaCentre-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-105 size-full\" srcset=\"https:\/\/willwoodman.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/BazookaCentre-1.jpg 527w, https:\/\/willwoodman.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/BazookaCentre-1-300x271.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 527px) 100vw, 527px\" \/><\/figure><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p>The center junction box consists of a small potting box with three external connections.  The SO-239 is the co-ax feed which goes to the radio.  The two BNC connectors are for the dipole elements which allows them to be quickly swapped out for different bands of operation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment I have constructed dipole elements for 20m and 10m bands as these are the bands that I operate on most frequently.  In the future I will add to this, probably I will create some 40m elements which I think might come in useful for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/parksontheair.com\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/parksontheair.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">POTA<\/a>\/<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sota.org.uk\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.sota.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">SOTA<\/a> activation&#8217;s.  The elements are constructed slightly longer than required with a fold back that can be adjusted for tuning.  I&#8217;ve included eyelets in the ends for guy ropes.  All the connectors are heat-shrink insulated for waterproofing.
