Some folks say yes, others no and there&#8217;s a healthy dose of guesswork sprinkled over the top.  So I thought let&#8217;s do a simple test:<br><br>Two 5.5m masts, in a field 10m apart.  Rig up a 10m band dipole antenna, test it on a VNA, pull it down again and repeat with a double bazooka dipole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I tested this with my 10m band setup using two very similar antennas.  A dipole antenna cut slightly too long for 10m operation with approx 15cm of &#8216;fold back&#8217; on the ends for tuning and a double bazooka, also cut slightly long with approx 15cm of fold back for tuning.  You can see more details of my bazooka dipole here.
